Get ready to laugh! God is a Scottish Drag Queen: The Second Coming by Canadian comedian Mike Delamont is back in Nanaimo Fri. and Sat. Jan. 26 & 27 at 7:30pm, at VIU’s Malaspina Theatre.

God Is a Scottish Drag Queen returns with an all new two act comedy of biblical proportions! God comes down to skewer everything from the Ten Commandments to the platypus in an unforgettable sequel 2,000 years in the making! In one of the funniest stand-up routines ever, the omnipotent playwright as the Almighty returns to Nanaimo to confirm our misunderstanding of Him and what he really thinks about humanity. Don’t miss this Second Coming!

With more than 40,000 tickets sold in the last year, Mike Delamont is one of the fastest rising comedians in the country. Mike has sold out major theatres from coast to coast and currently lives with his wife Chantelle in Victoria BC.

Beginning his stand up career in 2011, Mike has since played the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, and the world famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. He has been nominated for 3 Canadian Comedy Awards including one for Break Out Year and two for Best Solo Show.  Mike has been featured on the Investors Group Comedy Tour, Halifax Comedy Festival, CBC’s The Debaters, SiriusXM’s Top Comic Competition and Just For Laughs. Mike just recently filmed his debut comedy special at the 1,400 seat Royal Theatre in his home town of Victoria BC

An original cast member of the acclaimed cult cabaret Atomic Vaudeville, Mike is also very well known for his critically acclaimed one man show God Is a Scottish Drag Queen. Now a 4 part series of shows, God Is a Scottish Drag Queen has sold out runs of shows across North America with some patrons waiting over 8 hours in line just to get tickets and is a two time nominee for the Just For Laughs Best Comedy Award. God Is a Scottish Drag Queen has now been turned into a large full scale theatrical show and has been touring for the past year. Its sequel debuted in the fall of 2017.
